Written Arbitration (DOP)

In suitable cases where the parties so agree, disputes may be resolved under a Written Arbitration Procedure administered by BIAC. This streamlined process allows disputes to be determined solely on the basis of documentary evidence and written submissions, without the need for oral hearings.

This mechanism is particularly suited to cases involving limited factual disputes, straightforward contractual interpretation, or modest sums in dispute. It offers parties a cost-effective and time-efficient alternative to conventional hearings, while preserving all essential safeguards of due process and impartiality.
